Salesperson – AV Systems

Job Description
Scope: Work with an energetic team dedicated to providing organizations with innovative AV systems for TV studios, boardrooms, classrooms, live streaming, and more. Cultivate current clients and develop new prospects by delivering excellent customer service. Support customers and maintain contact through the design, installation, training, and maintenance needed during the life cycle of an AV system. Build client satisfaction, repeat, and/or referral business. This is a B2B selling experience. We provide healthcare, paid vacation, retirement, and other benefits.

Position reports to key leaders as required.

Responsibilities and duties
• Present and sell company products, services, and solutions to qualified prospects
• Energetically follow up new leads and opportunities provided by all sources
• Seek out new lead opportunities from existing customers and actively seek referrals
• Develop and recommend ways to meet or exceed client expectations
• Learn key differentiating characteristics for the products and services offered
• Create correspondence, quotations, proposals, presentations, and other forms of communication necessary to secure contracts
• Achieve minimum gross profit margins and optimum gross profit
• Learn and manage the client/prospect internal purchasing process sufficiently to reach decision makers and secure completed agreement
• Assure that our offer is clear and well-enough documented to prevent misunderstandings on either side
• Work with staff to ensure recommendations are technically feasible, sufficiently detailed, and matched to client expectations
• Perform needs analysis, site surveys, and draft scopes of work according to company guidelines
• Review all purchase orders and contracts to ensure they sufficiently agree with company guidelines and proposal elements
• Assist in resolution of any conflicts, problems, or disputes associated with delivery
• Present Change Orders approved for billing to the client
• Promote ongoing service contracts with the client to maintain a revenue source and to ensure ongoing system functionality.
• Maintain complete and current records on clients and prospects
• Populate relevant client information into Company database and forecast system
• Keep current with changes in technology, company capability, personal selling skills, general business practices, and changes in market conditions that affect sales
• Attend, support, and actively participate in company-sponsored meetings, educational activities, and other events associated with company objectives
• Obtain and maintain current and required certifications

Qualifications / Education
• Experience in direct sales of high-technology products and services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiar with standard MS-Office applications, CRM and ERP systems
• Experience with project-driven opportunities
• Experience working with contractors and general constructor-based processes
• Excellent organizational skills and high levels of self-discipline

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting salary plus commission – $40,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
