Now in its 11th year, Hispanicize is the iconic annual event for multicultural trendsetters. Midtown Video provided technical integration and production support to Steady Image for their Hispanic Heritage Month #UnidosTogether Virtual Summit October 15th, 2020.

At the center of the production was the NewTek TriCaster 2 Elite. The TriCaster enhanced the Hispanicize streaming project centralizing the overall workflow. Using TriCaster’s most Advanced Edition, lengthy pre-recorded media was imported seamlessly; the TriCaster was able to support up to 4 multi-viewer displays supporting live production. Midtown Video was able to directly stream from the TriCaster for 7 hours during the show.

Newtek’s NDI protocol allowed the inclusion of more cameras than physical inputs on the TriCaster. Because the additional cameras were Robotic PTZ units, the production team had control, video signal, power, and tally all carried on a single standard network cable.

We incorporated Contribution streaming by using a LiveU 2000 server (located in Miami at the Midtown Video control room) and paired it with a LiveU300 Encoder that was sent to Los Angeles. The studio in LA was using the LiveU300 Encoder and their own Bluetooth earpiece which allowed Midtown Video to receive their audio and video directly to the TriCaster control room.

The flexibility of the TriCaster platform allowed for a dynamic mix of live speakers including Jessica Alba, pre-recorded content, remote video, graphics, and slides into a dynamic and engaging virtual conference featuring celebrities, influencers, and cultural icons among the Hispanic Community.
