SONY HDW-D1800
The Sony HDW-D1800 is a CineAlta HDCAM studio editing recorder featuring a wide variety of advanced features, making the adoption of and integration of professional-grade high definition acquisition a more seamless transition than ever before. The HDCAM format has been widely accepted by top professionals as the HD format of choice and shows Sony’s commitment to providing the highest quality solutions for the most demanding applications. The deck has the ability to fully integrate HDV content, as well as providing legacy playback for both Digital Betacam and MPEG IMX standard definition formats. Moreover, the HDW-D1800 can up and down-convert footage to HDCAM, making it ideal for mastering for broadcast or ingesting into an HDCAM post-production workflow.

YAMAHA DVS5750
DTS Digital Surround
The basic DTS 5.1 channel sound format. Uses a higher data rate than Dolby Digital.
CD Digital Video
DVD Players equipped with CD Digital Video capabilities will be able to play video and sound media that has been compressed together and recorded onto a CD disc.
Dolby Digital
The most popular 5.1-channel home theater sound system. An improvement over Dolby Pro-Logic in that it offers: 1) Full frequency response in all channels (3Hz — 20kHz), 2) discrete surround channels, and 3) a separate track for bass only, called the Low Frequency Effects channel.

SONY PMW-EX30 SXS RECORDING DECK
The Sony PMW-EX30 is a recording deck designed specifically for SxS cards used by both the PMW-EX1 and PMW-EX3 XDCAM EX camcorders. The deck combines a traditional video recorder/player footprint with the advanced benefits of tapeless flash media. Users can browse quickly through files directly from the PMW-EX30′s high resolution LCD screen, making editing much easier. Features include record and playback of MPEG HD footage, as well as down-conversion ability through its series of outputs.
- SxS Solid State Recording Technology
SxS technology is built for today’s most demanding applications and beyond. Being based on the Expresscard/34 interface makes ultra-high transfer rates possible, up to 800 Mb/s. These high transfer speeds can be very important when trying to quickly download multiple gigabytes worth of footage.
- Compact Design
The HPX-EX30 can fit into almost any studio or editing workstation, saving valuable space. Since there are no moving parts within the deck, the system can be mounted horizontally and vertically.
- Built-In LCD

The PMW-EX30 features both HDMI and HD-SDI outputs, allowing it to output 100% digital HD signals in multiple ways.
- Extended Record Time
Due to the space-saving nature of XDCAM EX, the 8 and 16GB memory cards are capable of recording for long periods of time. Documentary work will never be a problem when shooting on the PMW-EX30.
SONY PDW-F70 XDCAM HD RECORDER
The PDW-F70 XDCAM HD deck records and plays Professional Disc HD material at 1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97P, 25P and native 23.98P using the “MPEG HD” codec that uses the industry standard MPEG-2 MP@HL compression. And for high quality sound, four channel, 16 bit, 48 kHz uncompressed audio is used.
The deck also can down-convert MPEG HD material to DV signals and output via the i.LINK™ interface, The PDW-F70 can also up-convert DVCAM material to HD signals and output via the HD-SDI or HD analog component connection.

SONY DSR20
The DSR-20 employs the DVCAM format which uses 8-bit digital component recording with 5:1 compression ratio and sampling at the rate of 4:1:1 to provide high picture quality and multi-generation performance.
The DSR-20 is equipped with an External Sync Input, which enables synchronized playback with multiple VTR’s.
