The NEX-FS100U Super 35mm Sensor Camcorder is Sony's first affordable and fully professional large-sensor video camera. Hot on the heels of the PMW-F3, this compact, highly modular camera uses the same S35-size CMOS sensor as the F3. Unlike smaller, broadcast-style sensors or the larger "full-frame" sensors of some DSLRs, the NEX-FS100's imaging area matches that of standard Hollywood film cameras, providing complete compatibility with cine-style film lenses (via optional adapters) as well as any of Sony's E-Mount lenses. The sensor's large size offers a variety of other advantages, including increased control over depth of field, higher sensitivity in low light, lower image noise, and an exceptional dynamic range.

Able to shoot full 1080p video in a range of frame rates up to 60p, the FS100 provides the option of recording 28Mbps AVCHD footage onto SD or Memory Stick media, or it can output 4:2:2 video (with embedded timecode) to an external recording unit. Simultaneous recording to both is also possible when instant backup is called for. There's no stinting on audio, either, as the camera includes not only a shotgun microphone with mount/carrying handle, but dual XLR inputs for recording uncompressed, professional-level sound from an external source.

Other features--such as a rotating 3.5" XtraFine LCD panel with detachable viewfinder, SD recording, GPS geotagging, and slow shutter--make the FS100 an impressive companion to other cameras in the S35 line. Not only will it intercut perfectly with the F3, F35, or SRW-9000PL as a 2nd unit or B camera, it can stand on its own in applications as diverse as indie film, commercials, music promos, education, and wedding videos.

Exmor Super 35 CMOS Sensor for Shooting Motion Pictures
Equipped with a large CMOS sensor equivalent in size to Super 35mm film, the NEX-FS100 enables shooting with the same creative depth of field as the PMW-F3. The sensor also features the optimum number of effective pixels for shooting HD moving images. At a high 60fps in all-pixel scan mode, this allows images to be captured with less color aliasing, jaggedness and rolling shutter than DSLR cameras, while providing the sensitivity to shoot at a minimum illumination of 0.28 lux. Another advantage of Exmor technology is minimal noise when shooting lowlight scenes.

E-Mount Interchangeable Lens System
Sony's E-mount interchangeable lenses let you enjoy a level of creative freedom unimaginable with camcorders of the past. All feature precision-crafted optics with aspherical glass elements for compact high performance, and circular iris mechanisms for smooth background defocusing. Thanks to the E-mount's short 18mm flange-back distance, using a mount adapter allows shooting with a wide range of existing lenses. For example, with the optional LA-EA1 mount adapter, you can take advantage of the abundant lenses (A-mount lenses). Third-party adapters enable use of an even wider variety of lenses.

1920 x 1080P Slow & Quick Motion
Recording images at a different frame rate from that used for playback provides the extra versatility of slow and quick motion shooting. The NEX-FS100 enables Full HD (1920 x 1080) progressive slow and quick motion. Frame rates are selectable from among 60fps, 30fps, 15fps, 8fps, 4fps, 2fps, and 1fps. So, for example, when recording at 1080/30p, if the frame rate is set to 60fps, images are recorded in 2 times slow motion. S&Q shooting plus last scene review permits checking the S&Q effects on-set, immediately after shooting the scene without drilling down menus.

NXCAM Recording Format
Like other NXCAM series cameras, the NEX-FS100 uses the well established AVCHD recording format supported by a wide range of nonlinear editing systems. Better still, it's ready to shoot with a maximum frame rate of 1920 x 1080/60p (28Mbps) for even higher quality recording. For more flexibility, it's also possible to record in Standard Definition MPEG-2 format.

The Sony PMW-F3K Camera Package adds three Sony fixed focal length PL mount lenses (35/50/85-mm, T2.0) to the F3 body package, ideal for entry-level and experienced users alike.

The newest member of Sony's CineAlta lineup, the PMW-F3 inherits DNA from the F35, which has been used for years in high-end digital cinematography, as well as most of the features and file-based workflow capabilities of PMW-EX1R and EX3 XDCAM EX solid-state memory camcorders. The PMW-F3 is equipped with the newly developed Exmor™ Super 35 CMOS image sensor, PL lens mount, and SxS card for 1920 x 1080 full-HD recording.

The PMW-F3 features future expandability, including RGB 4:4:4 baseband output with S-LOG gamma for external recording which means it can be used in an HDCAM-SR™ workflow. It also offers a 3D-LINK option, which allows two camcorders to be controlled simultaneously for 3D stereoscopic shooting.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- The PMW-F3 employs a PL lens mount that is standard for film cameras, allowing use of a virtually unlimited number of prime and zoom lenses for 35-mm film cameras. This greatly broadens the choice of lenses for a wider spectrum of creative expression. A PL lens mount adapter comes with the camera as standard. The PMW-F3 supports the Cooke/i Technology protocol as well as the ARRI LDS interface, which enables the camcorder to communicate with the lens to obtain lens metadata such as focus and iris position.

- The recording format and recording media are identical to the existing PMW-EX1R and PMW-EX3, and proven, high-speed, intuitive XDCAM EX workflow can be used with high reliability. This workflow offers seamless integration with leading nonlinear editing software.

- The PMW-F3 has an HD-SDI Dual-link output connector which offers 4:2:2 1080 50/59.94p uncompressed signal output as standard. By using external recording devices such as HDCAM-SR recorders, users can achieve x 2.5 natural slow-motion playback in 1080/24p mode.

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II improves upon the EOS 5D by increasing the resolution by about 40% to 21.1 megapixels and adds a Live View feature that allows users to preview shots on the camera's high resolution 3.0" LCD display. It even incorporates the ability to record full motion HD Video with sound, so you can capture the action as well as superb images.

Rental Includes
Your choice of one lens:
EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens
EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens

21.1 Megapixel Full-frame CMOS Sensor
Developed by Canon, the high-resolution, 35mm full-frame CMOS image sensor incorporated into the EOS 5D Mark II sets the standard for its class, featuring a remarkable 21.1 million effective pixels for a maximum recorded resolution of 5616 x 3744 pixels. And since the image sensor is full-frame, all lenses used with the camera provide the angle of view that was intended by the manufacturer - this is of particular importance for photographers that often use wide-angle lenses and other specialty lenses.

DIGIC 4 Image Processor
DIGIC 4 is Canon's latest advanced imaging processor that transforms data from the large CMOS sensor at extremely high speed for photos of exceptional quality and definition. This accelerated performance contributes to highly responsive and user-friendly operation, including a fast continuous shooting speed. The DIGIC 4 processor also enables a number of processor intensive operations like Face Detection Live mode, HD video recording and lighting and lens peripheral optimization.

Live View Function
The Live View Function on the EOS 5D Mark II provides users with a convenient way to frame images, by allowing for the cameras 3.0" LCD display to be used as a viewfinder - bringing a powerful feature from the compact camera world to the professional digital SLR. Live View is particularly useful when shooting at odd angles or when doing macro photography. The Live View feature also enables the ability to zoom in and navigate the composition 5x or 10x normal size; there is even a grid overlay feature to aid in the composition of your images. This feature also enables the Live View focusing modes which include the Quick mode, Live mode and Face Detection Live mode.

Record HD Video
The EOS 5D Mark II is unusual among SLR digital cameras in that it is capable of recording full HD video, and it's the cameras Live View function that makes it possible. You'll record video clips in full High-Definition with 1080p image quality and a capture frame rate of 30 fps with sound. Users can even attach an external microphone for recording professional-quality audio with the video, and all Live View AF features can be used when the camera is shooting video. Furthermore, users can play back video clips on a HDTV display in full HD quality with the camera's HDMI Video output (optional cable required).

9-Point AF Sensor Array
The newly developed 9-point AF sensor with 6 Assist AF points provides speedy and precise focus detection plus enlarged subject coverage. With an extra 6 AF assist points added to the spot metering circle, the EOS 5D enables highly detailed focusing around the center of an image in AI Servo AF mode. Of the 9 primary AF points, the high-precision cross-type center AF point is compatible with f/2.8 and f/5.6 lenses, while 8 sensors are sensitive to f/5.6. Upper and lower central points, 2 of the 6 Assist AF points, are also f/2.8 and f/5.6 compatible. All focusing points are configured for quick focus in any shooting situation.

Durable Shutter
An extremely fast, highly durable shutter unit has been especially developed to match the EOS 5D mark II's full-frame 35mm CMOS sensor. The high-torque shutter-cocking mechanism is rated to 150,000 shots, attaining speeds from 1/8000 sec. to 30 sec. and bulb. The unit's flash synchronization (X-sync) function uses an optically detected, contactless switch instead of a mechanical one, which contributes to high durability and reliability when a Speedlite is used and yields an X-sync shutter speed of 1/200 sec.

3.0-Inch High-Resolution LCD Screen
The 3.0-inch TFT color LCD monitor has 920,000 (VGA) pixels allows users to scrutinize the finest details of their images either during Live View previews or when reviewing images after the shoot. The display is treated with an anti-reflection and water-repellant coating that provides a clear, smudge-resistant surface and incorporates a light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment in accordance with ambient light. Users can clearly view graphics and text on the screen and it provides easy-to-read menus, a full-featured info screen complete with RGB histogram and AF frame displays, and the ability of users to enlarge images right after shooting.

3.9 Frames-per-Second (fps) Shooting
Driven by the advanced DIGIC 4 imaging engine, the EOS 5D Mark II achieves a remarkable 3.9 fps consecutive shooting speed during maximum bursts of 78 shots for Large/Fine JPEG shots (13 shots for RAW images). For rare photo opportunities, the amazingly quick startup and short shutter release time lag will also help you capture the moment without delay.

Compatible With Over 60 Canon EF Lenses
The EOS 5D Mark II is compatible with all Canon lenses in the EF lineup (except EF-S lenses), ranging from 14mm Ultra-Wide to 600mm Super Telephoto lenses. The EF lineup employs advanced optical know-how and sub-micron precision engineering to deliver unprecedented performance in all facets of the photographic process. Aspherical optics and fluorite elements, for example, are featured in the universally acclaimed L-series lenses while Canon's Image Stabilization feature minimizes the effect of camera shake.

Lens Peripheral Illumination Correction
Canon's exclusive Lens Peripheral Illumination Correction function corrects for light falloff at the corners of the frame for evenly illuminated images. The camera automatically loads this correction data for many of canon's lenses and correction information can be entered manually through the included Canon EOS Utility software when using lenses that cannot be automatically corrected for.

Flash Photography Features
The EOS 5D mark II features Canon's E-TTL II flash metering system, which provides consistently accurate flash exposure from shot to shot. Canon's Speedlite 580EX and 430EX are perfectly suited to the EOS 5D. They include an AF-Assist Beam, which works in conjunction with the EOS 5D's focusing system and automatically sends color temperature information to the camera when the flash fires, for more accurate color rendition with flash photography.

Solid Construction and Sophisticated Design
Highly durable yet elegantly refined, the body of the EOS 5D Mark II can be handled with remarkable ease. It features a highly rigid magnesium alloy exterior (including the Battery Grip BG-E6), a solid stainless-steel internal chassis, and a mirror box of high-strength engineering plastic. Balance is effortlessly maintained from the redesigned grip to the top of a Speedlite flash unit. With a front groove on the grip for the middle finger to the enhanced metallic feel of the Mode Dial, this camera assures greater stability at every point.

The Sony PDW-F800 XDCAM HD422 Camcorder provides the durability and reliability professionals have become accustomed to with their full line of ENG camcorders, while adding many new features. What sets the XDCAM HD422 line apart from other cameras is the ability to shoot high definition video at manageable bitrates, without sacrificing quality.

Equipped with three 2/3" HD CCDs, the PDW-F800 is capable of recording a 1080p stream at different frame rates and bit rates, giving the user increased versatility to choose between quality and run time. The camera can also under and over crank, between 4 and 60 frames, which can be used for fast and slow motion effects.

The XDCAM series takes recording to the next level, utilizing non-linear single and dual-layer optical Blue Laser technology. Less time logging, capturing and digitizing footage allows videographers to move seamlessly between acquisition and post-production. Increasing efficiency results in shorter production times leading to higher profitability.

MPEG HD422
Improving upon the XDCAM HD format, the PMW-F800 records MPEG HD422. The format is a higher bitrate version of widely used MPEG HD, allowing for more accurate chroma processing. By utilizing its increased 4:2:2 color space (as opposed to 4:2:0) there's more versatility in digital post production, especially during color correction and DI mastering.

Blue Laser Optical Drive Technology
The XDCAM HD series is anchored by Blue Laser disc, which allows for storage capabilities large enough to record professional quality video. Optical discs give operators more control of the footage they acquire. This can be useful in instances such as news gathering, where footage often goes direct-to-broadcast. The hassle of rolling through tape is eliminated. Optical recording provides users with the advantages of non-linear recording and playback combined with long record times that can often be vital in the field. Sony's dual-layered 50GB discs not only increase these run times but also provide an ideal archiving method not possible when using flash-based camcorders.

Benefit of Dual Layering
The PFD50DLA dual-layered disc for the XDCAM series of cameras provides a bevy of enhancements over previous models. Most notably is a newly developed servo mechanism that helps decrease access errors, even when the camera is in an unstable environment.

Advanced Video Chip Technology
The camera uses advanced CCD technology. The Power HAD HD (1440x1080) CCDs have specifications that approach the very highest quality FIT chips found in top-tier equipment such as those used in HDTV production. The camera has an amazing 54 dB signal to noise ratio and smear level of -120 dB. The dynamic range of the camera makes it possible to control critical details in both the very brightest and lowest lighted portions of a scene.

High Definition At Your Fingertips
The PDW-F800 has a wide array of high definition frame rates and bit-rates to choose from, using the MPEG HD codec, based on the commonly used MPEG compression technique. Choose between the highest 35 Mbps bit rate for highest possible quality, or use 25 and 18 Mbps when longer run times are needed. The camera can shoot up to 120 minutes of high definition footage to one 23GB Blue Laser Disc.

DVCAM Downconvertion and iLINK
Footage can be recorded in HD mode and then downconverted to DVCAM, and then output through iLINK to any non-linear editing system for high performance and compatibility.

Progressive Recording
The PDW-F800 has the ability to record in progressive mode, which enhances image quality and can provide a more 'film-like' image. The camera can switch between standard (30 fps) and 24P modes. The 24P mode gives video the look and shutter of film, which is conventionally shot at 24 frames per second. The camera also has the ability to shoot between 4 and 60 frames, commonly known as "overcranking" and "undercranking", which produces beautiful fast and slow motion effects.

Loop Recording
Camera Operators often find themselves missing the first few seconds of action due to camera preroll. With the XDCAM this becomes a thing of the past! Simply set the camera to the "Loop Recording" mode and the camera will buffer 10 seconds of audio and video into the camera's memory. This capability can help prevent the loss of unexpected but important events occurring before the operator even has the chance to press the REC button.

Thumbnail Scene Selection
Blue Laser disc technology allows for quick and easy scene selection using Sony's attached LCD. Bringing up clips couldn't be any easier. Randomly access clips and review them seamlessly. Retrieve and save meta-data which can be very useful for scene matching and archiving purposes.

Selectable File Recording Modes
The PDW-F800 has the ability to select the manner in which clips are recorded onto the disc. Users have the ability to toggle between making one long clip, like on a video tape, or separate clips like those found on a digital still camera.
