HGTV’s Color Splash Turns to Midtown Video for Series on The Epic

The EPIC Hotel in downtown Miami welcomed HGTV’s Color Splash for its five-series focus on design inspirations courtesy of the “Magic City”, a nickname given to Miami back in the day, after tourists commented that the city grew so much from one year to the next that it was like magic.

The show featured a young Miami couple who cited the hotel as the design inspiration for their South Beach home, which host David Bromstad is redesigning.

Midtown Video was brought on board to support crews in Atlanta and Miami with camera gear.  During the production of the series, Johlt Productions purchased two Sony PMW-EX3 packages from Midtown Video, and rented a third package for three months as well.
Color Splash, a new series on HGTV, seeks out creative designs and shows viewers how to incorporate the designs into their own homes. Host David Bromstad – who is best know as the champion of the HGTV reality show Design Star – brings his belief that “color is the root of design” to transform tired rooms into unforgettable spaces.

The Color Splash Miami series featuring The EPIC  will air this summer.

Managed by Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, EPIC is located, at the edge of the Miami River and Biscayne Bay. Find them online at www.epichotel.com.
